Comilla University Students Block Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Kotbari Bishwaroad
Comilla University students began their protest from the university campus as part of the nationwide Bangla Blockade programme. Besides Comilla University, students from Comilla Victoria Government College, National University-affiliated colleges, private universities, and medical colleges in Cumilla district demonstrated against quotas. The procession later escalated into a highway blockade at Kotbari Bishwaroad. The blockade caused severe traffic congestion on both sides of the highway, while students chanted anti-quota slogans and some sat or lay on the road.
