A procession started from Dhaka University Central Library and headed toward Shahbagh via the Raju Memorial Sculpture at TSC. Police officers placed a barrier in front of Shahbagh metro rail station to stop protesters from moving further. A faction of protesters broke through the barricade and moved toward Minto Road, while others remained at Shahbagh blocking the road. The blockade halted all vehicular traffic and protesters chanted slogans.
