Hundreds of Jahangirnagar University students blocked the Dhaka-Aricha highway near the campus for around two hours. They started their protest march from the campus and took position at Dairy Gate around 11:00am, causing significant traffic congestion with hundreds of vehicles stuck on both sides of the highway. The blockade caused a 15km traffic jam from Gabtoli to Nabinagar, causing common passengers to suffer.
